A lot of people worked long and hard to make authoring Web pages short and sweet for you. The Web Page Design Cookbook is the result of that labor. What can we tell you about the book that you do not already know or cannot immediately see? Not much since you have the book.

What we can do is to thank you for buying the book. We, the four authors with our names on the cover, are all self-employed consultants in the field of electronic communications. We make our livings helping people to get information from one human brain to another. Sometimes we use the Web to do that. What we put into this book are the templates, examples, guidelines, and hints that have gotten us through some pretty ambitious projects. We have included the stuff we think really matters and left out the rest. We hope you find it useful.
