About Nancy
Nancy is the president of International Technical Communication Services, an independent consulting firm that specializes in the strategies required to develop effective world-ready information products. She is a frequent lecturer at conferences and teaches workshops worldwide on a variety of topics related to international technical communication.
As a technical communicator for over a decade, Nancy has provided solutions to technical-communication problems---from writing technical manuals to developing usable information clusters in HTML for the World Wide Web---for large and small companies all over the U.S. and Europe. Some of her clients include Digital Equipment Corporation, The Boeing Company, Lotus Development Corporation, Sun Microsystems, and the World Health Organization in Geneva, Switzerland.
Nancy is a Novell Certified Netware Engineer (CNE). She has a degree in English from the University of Connecticut, and has studied fine arts, technical communication, computer programming, and law at various universities throughout the U.S.
Nancy lives in the town Temple, population 1300, in Southern New Hampshire with husband John, dog Tikka, and fat cat Gre. Her father-in-law, a native of NYC, can't figure out how she and John found their house, since it's in the forest. In between writing books and working on client projects, she enjoys impromptu vacations throughout U.S. and in other countries, watching the wildlife in her backyard, and getting in her Ford pickup and just driving in the country to no place in particular.
