Tired of the same old travel routine? Try something different—Bed and Breakfast Inns. Fairly new to the U.S., Bed and Breakfast Inns have been used in Europe for many years. This category lists sites from all over the United States. Some even provide online registration.

This site has only a few listings with descriptions of B&Bs in the U.S. The site allows you to ask for reservations based on city, state and desired accommodations. The site allows you to request information about concierge services, car rental, and pet accommodations. They also offer recipes, a gift shop and a newsletter, but they need to develop these services more as little information is currently available.

An excellent site for browsing, B&B City has an alphabetical or state/province listing of B&Bs and country inns in the U.S. and Canada. Each B&B has a separate page with pictures and detailed information. Some pages are still under construction and some contain video clips. Available in English or French.

The site includes recipes, a list of B&B Cookbooks for sale, and links to state innkeeper associations.

This site is a travel directory for Western Canada that includes B&Bs, guest ranches, small inns and lodges, and cabins/chalets. The list of B&Bs is extensive while the descriptions of the B&Bs and their accommodations are adequate, with pictures and links to other sites of local interest. There are also tons of links to other travel sites including tours and other B&B sites for various countries.

If you’re interested in Caribbean B&Bs, this site has plenty. The site also features a chat forum, a gift store, a calendar for special events at selected B&Bs, and a yet to be completed recipe page which will contain over 1,000 recipes.

This site contains information about B&Bs in the U.S. and Canada. Most of the listings are for the U.S., but some states are not listed. Many of the listings include nothing but a phone number, while others have a brief description of the B&Bs accommodations. The site also provides a reservation service.
